Are you passionate about helping rescue dogs and looking for a way to get involved? We’re currently looking for dedicated, compassionate, and communicative volunteers to fill three key roles on our team:
About the Positions
🐾 Foster Support (1 Position Available)
As a Foster Support team member, you'll play a crucial role in guiding and supporting new foster families as they take in their first rescue dog or puppy. You’ll work closely with existing Foster Supports, providing advice on basic training (like crate training, leash walking, and managing jumping behaviors) and offering general guidance on the fostering process. If you’re kind-hearted, have good communication skills, and some basic experience with dogs, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Commitment: 3-5 hours per week.
📦 Supply Coordinator (1 Position Available)
Do you have great organizational skills and love working with others? As a Supply Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing and holding SDR’s inventory in your home. You’ll act as the liaison between the Head Supply Coordinator and our network of volunteers, helping to coordinate the movement of supplies and maintain inventory. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys working in a team. We’re particularly seeking supply homes located in the east and southeast parts of Saskatoon. Commitment: 5 hours per week.
💻 Website Coordinator (1 Position Available)
Are you tech-savvy or interested in learning about website management? As the Website Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating our website, ensuring it reflects our latest programs and available dogs for adoption. Each week, you’ll add newly available dogs on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (less than an hour as you get comfortable). Experience with WIX or any website builder is helpful but not required – we’re happy to teach you! This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys digital tasks and supporting rescue efforts behind the scenes. Commitment: 1-3 hours per week, with occasional special projects as needed.
These volunteer roles are a fantastic way to give back and be part of a cause that saves lives. At Saskatoon Dog Rescue, we rely on volunteers like you to help us continue our mission of rescuing and rehoming dogs in need. If one of these roles speaks to you, we encourage you to apply today!
Applications are open until October 18. More details on each role and the application process can be found by following the link below.
